i'm sure plenty of aussies are going like "wtf man that wasn't a foul! why was it a penalty? kelong!" ok maybe not the kelong part... but as an UNBIASED viewer, despite my bet =p, think about it. the defender missed his sliding tackle totally, didn't hit the italian winger (Grosso), but blocked his path. how was Grosso supposed to evade one man on the ground right in front of him? if the defender didn't make block Grosso, he would have been 1 on 1 with the keeper with a good goal scoring chance. so... penalty, yep.

and 3 young men have been saved from embarassment. haha.
